already had North Carolina and Georgia at the top of his list. His time in Athens might not have changed Gurley's leaderboard, but the 6-foot, 195-pound prospect left with a better understanding of where he might fit in, if he were to sign with the Bulldogs.
In fact, it was almost as if he had never left home.
"My favorite part of the visit was the game and going to coach Mark Richt's house for dinner," Gurley said. "We got to sit down and talk, not just about football but about life. I honestly felt like I was at my own house."
He currently has Clemson, North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia Tech, N.C. State and Auburn as his leaders.
As a junior, he rushed 139 times for 1,472 yards and 26 touchdowns. Also, he had 79 tackles, an interception, and a forced fumble. He was an All-Area Offensive Player of the near. Won state title in 200 meter hurdles with time of 14.13 seconds and ran a 4.3 40 time recently. #10 rated player and 5 star recruit based on the 2012 AthleteVault NC/SC Rankings.
He plays both running back and safety for his high school. He could also project as a safety or a nickel linebacker at the next level.
