"The Louisville coaching staff is very close to extending a scholarship offer to 2012 big man Joell James. James is a 6’10 280 lb. junior from Ft. Lauderdale FL, who has really started to emerge as one of the top centers in the 2012 class. His size alone makes him an intriguing prospect, but don’t let the size fool you. James moves pretty well for his near 300 lb. frame."

"Pitino is believed to be out in front on this one. Pitino was pursuing James while he was at Florida and has since started to lure him to Louisville. James is a member of the Florida Rams AAU program, which has produced current Cardinals Rakeem Buckles and Jared Swopshire."

Clemson has already offered James for the 2012 recruiting class.
