Following his senior season, he has already decided he’d like to play in the Under-Armour All-America Game in Florida. “My biggest strengths are my speed, vision and acceleration. I’m also good at making people miss,” Marshall said. “Coaches compare me to a lot of different people. I’ve heard Gale Sayers, Eric Dickerson and Percy Harvin the most because of my speed and how I run smooth.”
If his scholarship list interests you, have a seat and get yourself a cold drink, you’re going to be here for a while. Marshall has caught the eye of schools like national champion Auburn and the Tigers’ bitter rival, Alabama. All the national powers are interested, but there’s a decent chance a school like North Carolina, N.C. State, Clemson, Virginia Tech or South Carolina could keep him close to home. “I grew up watching my favorite players rather than my favorite teams, so I watched USC because of Reggie Bush and Georgia because of Knowshon Moreno,” Marshall said. “A lot of schools make promises, but I take them with a grain of salt. It’s hard for them to know exactly what will happen before you arrive on campus.”
Rushed for 1,600 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior. 1,166 yards and 12 touchdowns as a sophomore. Marshall is following in the footsteps of his father, Warren, who starred collegiately at James Madison University and was a sixth-round NFL draft pick by the Denver Broncos in 1987. Grew up a Georgia Bulldog fan and he has said that distance from home will not a factor in his decision-making process. Has made unofficial visits to Duke, NC State, North Carolina, and Clemson.
