out of Durham (NC) Hillside has indeed committed to Clemson's coaching staff on Sunday evening. He was on his official visit this weekend.

Thompson had offers from Alabama, California, Florida, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and others.

As a freshman, he caught 40 passes for over 700 yards. He attended Clemson's Orange and White game in 2012 and 2013. Named to the Shrine Bowl after catching 57 passes for 987 yards and 14 touchdowns his senior season. He is the #19th member (including Jalen Williams' gray shirt offer) and the fourth 4-star wide receiver (Thompson, Kitt, Priester, and Scott) of Clemson's 2014 recruiting class.

Robbie Caldwell and Jeff Scott were the main recruiters for Thompson.
