View Full Profile said after practice on Thursday he was never 100% after getting injured in the Wake Forest game last season. Watkins was limited by the shoulder injury but also said he had tired legs from his first season.

“It was tough thing to deal with because I couldn’t give the team all I have like the first eight games,” said Watkins.

Watkins said if he had not been injured, he wouldn’t have dropped a long touchdown pass against South Carolina at the beginning of the game.

“I think we would have won that South Carolina game if I would have caught that ball in the end zone,” said Watkins. “If I would have caught it, it would have been a totally different game.”
