Former Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins is very excited to get the chance to play alongside one of his football idols growing up in Florida - Percy Harvin.
Harvin signed a one-year contract worth a reported six million dollars with the Buffalo Bills over the weekend. The talented playmaker has been on four NFL teams in the last four years - the New York Jets, Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks and now with the Buffalo Bills. He will be reunited with former Jets' head coach Rex Ryan where he had some personal success as he had 29 receptions for 350 yards and a score. For his career, Harvin has 332 catches for 3,802 yards and 21 touchdowns and 140 carries for 885 yards and five touchdowns. The Bills will have a new look to their offense as they have added Harvin, star running back LeSean McCoy and journeyman quarterback Matt Cassel. Look for Harvin and Watkins to get a few carries on jet sweeps in 2015. Harvin was one of the top college wide receivers at Florida ever (2006-2008) as he accounted for 133 catches for 1,929 yards and 13 touchdowns and also had 194 rushes for 1,852 yards with 19 touchdowns. He averaged 9.5 yards a carry as a running back and 11.6 yards as a wide receiver and return man.
