McShay released his rankings of the top college football quarterbacks for the 2017 NFL draft on Monday and junior quarterback Deshaun Watson was #1 on the list with an evaluation grade of 88.

"A dynamic playmaker, Watson has the ability to both throw from the pocket and extend plays with his mobility," McShay said. "He played his best football down the stretch of 2015, throwing for 405 yards and four touchdowns in Clemson's 45-40 loss to Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship. Watson (6-foot-2, 210) lacks ideal size and will need to adjust to a pro-style system, but he has the tools to develop into a good starter in the NFL if developed and utilized properly."

Watson finished third in the Heisman Trophy balloting last season and will be one of the favorites in 2016. Watson completed 333-of-491 passes for 4,104 yards and 35 touchdowns and also had 207 rushes for 1,105 yards and 12 scores this past season.
