WATCH: Brown with 69-yard interception return TD

by - Assoc. Editor -

Former Clemson defensive end Kourtnei Brown had a college nickname 'Touchdown Brown' for his pair of touchdowns against the Tarheels in 2011.

'Touchdown Brown' is at it again for the Houston Texans as he had a 69-yard interception return for a touchdown against the Denver Broncos on Saturday night.

“The play called for me to drop into coverage and I started as if I was going to rush and got back and the ball was right there," Brown said via houstontexans.com. "He threw it low enough for me to reach in and grab it. I noticed on my right the DB (defensive back) had the receiver. If he could just hold him for a minute, I could get situated. It would help out."

Head Coach Bill O'Brien has been impressed with the play of Brown.

“He’s done a good job,” O’Brien said. “He’s made a lot of improvement in his game. He’s in a very competitive position, but he’s certainly made a lot of plays.”

Brown is making a strong case for a roster spot and additional playing time as he had a game-high two sacks in his last preseason game against the 49ers.

He was an un-drafted free agent in 2012 and has played for the following teams:

San Francisco 49ers (2012)

Washington Redskins (2012-2013)

Buffalo Bills (2013-2014)

Detroit Lions (2014)

St. Louis Rams (2014)

Spokane Shock (2015)

Houston Texans (2015–present)
