Uplifting Athletes to hold two events in the Clemson area

Uplifting Athletes will hold two events in the Clemson area over the next week that the public is invited and encouraged to attend.

The Clemson Chapter Football Kids Combine will be held Saturday, July 15th at 1 p.m. in Clemson's indoor practice facility.

Registration online for kids 2-12 years of age will run through Thursday, July 13. You can register the day of the event, but there are only 175 spots available. NCAA compliance guidelines prohibits kids in grades 9-12 from participating.

Your tax-deductible registration fee of $50 per child to the Clemson Chapter of Uplifting Athletes includes the opportunity for kids to go through a combine-style workout with seven station drills run by current members of the defending National Champion Clemson Tigers. The first 40 kids that register online will receive an official Clemson Chapter Lift For Life t-shirt.

The stations include drills focused on throwing, pass catching, blocking, tackling, coverage, kicking and general bag drills. Following a 10-minute warm-up and five minutes at each station, the combine will conclude with a fun team event.

All the Tigers players who participate in the event will be available for a 15-minute autograph session at the conclusion of the Combine.

Parents, friends, and family are welcome to attend the event but will be required to stay outside the lines along the edge of the field.

The proceeds from the Clemson Chapter Football Kids Combine support Uplifting Athletes and its commitment to life skills development, patient-focused programs and rare disease research. For more information click here.

The second event is the 2017 Lift For Life.

The Clemson Chapter of Uplifting Athletes will hold its second annual Lift for Life to support the rare disease community on Monday, July 17th. The 2017 Lift For Life pits the offense vs. the defense in a head-to-head max bench press repetitions competition.

Fans and supporters of the defending National Champions can make a pledge based on the number of bench press repetitions either team averages. So choose your favorite side of the ball and support the Tigers during this exciting Lift For Life competition.

Proceeds from the Clemson Chapter annual Lift For Life support Uplifting Athletes and its commitment to life skills development, patient-focused programs, and rare disease research. For more information on that event click here.
