Two Tigers in Top 8 picks of 2017 NFL Mock Draft

The latest 2017 Mock Draft by CBSSports.com has Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson projected to the San Francisco 49ers with the third overall pick behind only Alabama defensive end Jonathan Allen and Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett.

"Blaine Gabbert is clearly not the answer," CBSSports.com said. "Colin Kaepernick possesses the mobility Chip Kelly is looking for at quarterback, but his decision-making and accuracy from the pocket remain average, at best. Watson isn't as polished a passer as recent early picks but he's shown remarkable poise throughout his career and has the dual-threat capability to fit in Kelly's scheme."

In 2016, Watson is 191-for-301 for 2328 yards with 22 touchdowns and ten interceptions.

Watson completed 333 of 491 passes for 4,104 yards and 35 touchdowns and also had 207 rushes for 1105 yards and 12 scores this past season. His 5,209 yards of total offense and his 47 total touchdowns were ACC records, and his rushing total was a record for a Clemson quarterback.

His 487 yards of total offense set a record for a National Championship game and is the first quarterback in FBS history to have at least 4,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards in a single season.

Clemson wide receiver Mike Williams was projected to go to the San Diego Chargers with the #8th overall pick.

"Now fully recovered from the neck injury which forced him to miss virtually all of last season, the 6-3, 220-pound Williams has re-emerged as one of the elite pass-catchers in the country," CBSSports.com said. "Athletically, he is said to be in the same class as former Clemson stars Sammy Watkins and DeAndre Hopkins. Williams could be a godsend for a Chargers team lacking healthy playmakers."

In 2016, Williams has 46 receptions for 648 yards and four touchdowns.
