Tim Tebow: "I don’t blame Kelly Bryant at all" |
Another day and still more
Kelly Bryant transfer talk from ESPN pundits.
College Football analyst Tim Tebow was a guest on ESPN's First Take on Friday and discussed Bryant's decision to leave Clemson for a possible starting job elsewhere. "I agree with him," Tebow said. "I am proud of him for making that decision. I don’t necessarily know if I would have done everything the way he did it - leaving practice and some of that stuff. But it kind of frustrating how everyone wants to get on him. How could you not be loyal to Clemson? Hoe could you not do this? Guess what Stephen A., Max have you ever take a better job? Of course, you have because you wanted to go live out your dream. Tebow knows that Bryant is just trying to live out his dream to play quarterback during his final collegiate season. "This kid gave everything to Clemson," he said. "He waited for his time. He brought them to a college football playoff. They lost to a great team in Alabama. Now he got beat out by someone who has a higher upside, but I don’t knock him for going out and living his dream. Watch if he maybe transfers to Auburn next year where he fits in Gus’ system he might be ridiculous. So I don’t blame Kelly Byrant at all. You got to live out your dream. I love how passionate college football is about their fan base." Tebow thinks that Dabo Swinney looks great after this situation because he kept the best interests of Bryant while making his decision after four games. "All these great athletes and all these moms in the South they are going to say yes Dabo you are going to get my kid because I know you are going to treat him the right way," he said. "I think Dabo made a great decision for Kelly and I also think he made a great decision for getting recruits for the next 10 years."
