Swinney updates injury status of Jalen Williams

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson linebacker Jalen Williams was injured early in the first quarter against Georgia Tech on Thursday night.

Williams was seen on the sidelines using crutches with ice on his right knee in the second quarter.

Swinney said after the game that the initial prognosis is that Williams suffered a sprained MCL injury but was told that the ACL is fine.

Williams will undergo an MRI tomorrow and Swinney said that it is unlikely a season-ending injury.

Swinney shared that there were no other injuries for Clemson after the 26-7 win against Georgia Tech.
