Swinney talks Watson rehab at presser |
Dabo Swinney updated the condition of
Deshaun Watson
Deshaun Watson "He’s doing unbelievable," said Swinney told the media. "He’s a genetic freak. Same thing mentally – his work ethic, how he responds – it’s like nothing I’ve ever seen. Listening to our doctors, he’s way ahead of schedule. It’s been way beyond every single metric our staff has but I’m not surprised." Watson tore his ACL in a practice before the Georgia State game but chose to play against arch-rival South Carolina before having surgery in early December. Clemson expects to have Watson back in time for summer workouts. As a freshman, Watson was 93-of-137 passing for 1,466 yards, 14 touchdowns and two interceptions and carried the ball 63 times for 263 yards and five scores in just eight games.
