Sammy Watkins leaves practice with injury

was injured at today's afternoon practice and left the practice field for the locker room according to team officials.

The injury was to his groin and the Bills will do a precautionary MRI on Watkins today. Buffalo Bills' head coach Doug Marrone talked about his star wide receiver's latest injury.

"I don't know where's he going to be tomorrow," Marrone told buffalobills.com. He could be back tomorrow or out 2-3 weeks. He didn't finish."

For the season, Watkins has 38 catches for 590 yards and five touchdowns. The franchise wide receiver has already won the prestigious NFL Rookie of the Week honors for Week 2, Week 7 and Week 8.

Thursday Update: Sammy Watkins will be ready to play against K.C. this weekend according to a source within the AP.
