Saints teammate thinks that Anthony will be an elite LB |
Former Clemson linebacker
Stephone Anthony
Stephone Anthony Anthony has been playing at the MIKE position and the signal-caller for the entire defense. Veteran linebacker teammate Parys Haralson has been impressed by the rookie's play so far in training camp. “I think right now he’s one of those guys that you look at and you know that in a couple years he’s going to be one of those elite linebackers that actually is a leader off the field and on the field,” Haralson said to ESPN. “He prepares, he’s smart, he’s physical and he works hard. So I think he’s got a really bright future.” Anthony had 330 tackles, 34.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, three interceptions for eight yards, 18 quarterback pressures, 13 pass breakups, five caused fumbles and one recovered fumble during his Clemson playing days. He also was named a consensus first-team All-ACC selection his senior season with 90 tackles.
