Clemson has added the Akron Zips to their 2020 football schedule according to a Thursday report by FBSchedules.com.

The game will be played on Sept 19, 2020 and the Zips will receive a $1.1 million payday for scheduling the game in Death Valley via an open records request.

Clemson and Akron have never played in football. Other non-conference games scheduled in 2020 for the Tigers include South Carolina and Notre Dame.

Also included in the report, the 2019 Clemson game against Charlotte will net the 49ers a guarantee of $1 million.
