Report: Blossomgame on alternate list for NBA combine

by - Assoc. Editor -

The 2016 NBA Draft will be kicking off June 23, 2016, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn so invites have been going out for the NBA Combine on May 11-15 in Chicago.

Clemson's Jaron Blossomgame was named as an alternate for the NBA Combine according to ESPN's Jeff Goodman. He will be able to participate in the Combine if there are injuries or some other basketball prospects back out.

Blossomgame did not sign an agent, so he has the option to return to Clemson for his senior season if he chooses to. He has until May 25 to withdrawal from the NBA draft to retain his eligibility for next season.

He was named first-team All-ACC and Most Improved Player by the league’s head coaches and media. He averaged 18.6 points per game, the highest average by a Tiger since 2000-01. Blossomgame produced 16 games with at least 20 points, including three with at least 30. He notched a career-high 33 in a game at NC State last month.
