Petrino: "Why isn’t Clemson number one?" |
Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino spoke to reporters after his team's dominating 52-7 victory against Boston College on Saturday afternoon.
Petrino was asked by a local reporter if he thought he had to run up the score against Boston College after his team's #7 ranking in the first College Football ranking last Tuesday night. "I guess we do," Petrino said. "It’s sad because there’s something called sportsmanship. Maybe I made a mistake and looking back at it against Florida State, we should’ve left our starters in and scored 80 points. I don’t understand why it’s like that. You look at Clemson and the schedule they’ve beat - the guys in the top 10 that they’ve beat - and what Alabama has done. Why isn’t Clemson number one?" Bobby Petrino laments having to run up score today, but says it may be necessary to get CFP committee's attention. #Louisville pic.twitter.com/V7atIY2Fji
