Notre Dame QB says Irish will beat Clemson anywhere including the moon |
Junior dual-threat quarterback Malik Zaire is the probable Notre Dame starter at quarterback heading into the 2015 season after Everett Golson left for greener pastures at Florida State.
Zaire is very confident that the Irish will stroll into Death Valley in the upcoming season and defeat the Tigers. “We’re going to Clemson this year. So?” Zaire said to ND Insider. “We could play you on the moon, and it wouldn’t matter. Your team is just not better than my team. I have faith in myself, and I have faith in my guys.” In 2014, he had 21 completions out of 35 attempts for 266 yards and a touchdown. In the 2014 Music City Bowl 31-28 victory against LSU, Zaire completed 12 of 15 passes for 96 yards and a touchdown and had 22 carries for a rushing touchdown. Clemson will host Notre Dame in Death Valley on 10/3/15.
