Clemson, S.C.—Clemson center Ryan Norton was named to the Rimington Award Watch List on Wednesday. The Clemson graduate from Simpsonville, S.C. and Mauldin High School is one of seven ACC players on the list.

Norton, who has made the ACC Academic Honor Roll each of the last two years, is the most experience offensive player on the Clemson team with 38 games played, including 24 as a starter. He has played 1,855 plays over those 38 games. That includes 737 snaps in 13 games, 11 as a starter, in 2014.

Norton has been a big factor in the Clemson offense the last three years. The Tigers have finished in the top 15 in the nation in the AP and USA Today Coaches polls each season, and have a 32-7 record.

Other ACC players on the Rimington Award Watch List include Matt Skura of Duke, Freddie Burden of Georgia Tech, Quinton Schooley of NC State, Lucas Crowley of North Carolina, Alex Officer of Pittsburgh and Rob Trudo of Syracuse.
