NFL.com lists Peake as a potential draft day steal

NFL.com released its list of potential offensive NFL draft steals on Tuesday and former Clemson wide receiver Charone Peake was one of the four prospects nationally listed.

"I remember watching tape of Peake and becoming very excited about what I was seeing," NFL.com's Lance Zierlein said. "For one, Peake has a terrific combination of size (6-foot-2, 209 pounds) and speed (4.45-second 40-yard dash at NFL Scouting Combine) and is able to climb over the top of cornerbacks in the vertical passing attack. Peake was a highly rated receiver as he arrived at Clemson, but knee problems short-circuited two of his seasons. If his tape from 2015 is any indication of what he's capable of, I think an NFL team has an opportunity to add a big, fast wideout with starter's ability and a skill set that allows him to work all three levels of the field."

Peake had 50 receptions for 716 yards and five touchdowns this past season. For his collegiate career, he had 99 catches for 1172 yards and ten scores.
