NC State fans petitioning for blackout game against Clemson |
North Carolina State fans have
started an online petition on Monday for the Halloween ACC matchup between the Tigers and the Wolfpack to be a blackout game at Carter Finley Stadium.
The letter to North Carolina State Athletics is for the crowd and players to wear all black while Clemson wears orange for Halloween. "Every year football stadiums across the country coordinate with their fans for big games to take their home field advantage to a new level," change.org petition states. "This year the Clemson Tigers come to Carter-Finley to take on our beloved NC State Wolfpack on Halloween. Several students are trying to get everyone to join in to blackout Carter Finley and make Halloween a nightmare for Clemson. We need your help in bringing Wolfpack Nation together along with our team. Also how great would it beat for a team in black and a team in orange for Halloween! Thanks for supporting and GO PACK!" Deshaun Watson had four total touchdowns in a 41-0 shutout of North Carolina State in 2014. Will this possible blackout game be a highly contested matchup or rather become a funeral-type feel for the Wolfpack faithful? Agree With @ScottyMcCreery That a Blackout For The Clemson Game Just Makes Sense! #WPN pic.twitter.com/mIH8LB98jz
