Monte Lee updates Chris Williams injury

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson catcher Chris Williams popped his shoulder out diving back into first base during last Saturday's game against Nevada and has missed the last three games. Williams is progressing according to Clemson head coach Monte Lee but is still questionable for the upcoming Louisville series.

"Chris hit a little bit off the tee today," Lee said after the win over Furman. "His range of motion is getting a little bit better. We are going to try to see if we can extend his reps a little bit tomorrow off the tee and possibly some soft toss in the cage. If he feels ok doing that, then we are going to try and see if he can take batting practice on Thursday. That's kind of the progression right now. We will see just how he feels tomorrow after we try to increase his reps off the tee and maybe some soft toss in the cage."
