Mini-Ben Boulware gets to meet his hero |
Second-grader Maddox McClollum has been a viral Internet sensation with his
perfect Halloween costume as he has resembled a mini-
Ben Boulware with the Clemson jersey, big beard, and tattoo.
"We decided because he had real pads and a jersey, his toy Clemson helmet wouldn't go with the costume," said his dad, Marlin McCollum via e-mail to ESPN.com. "Maddox was in a play this summer that he wore the beard in, so we went with that. He wanted the haircut, and the tattoo was a last-minute addition." The story has a happy ending as Maddox was able to meet his idol, Clemson linebacker Ben Boulware recently. Here is a photo of them together.
