Miller named quarterfinalist for Shortstop-of-the-Year Award

Clemson, SC - Junior Brad Miller was named one of 25 quarterfinalists for the Brooks Wallace Shortstop-of-the-Year Award announced on Thursday night. The Wallace Award, which recognizes the nation’s top shortstop will be presented in Lubbock, TX on July 3 as a part of the College Baseball Hall of Fame’s Night of Champions.

Miller leads the ACC and entered the week sixth in the nation in batting average (.437). The Windermere, FL native also entered the week sixth in the country in on-base percentage (.535). Miller has totaled eight doubles, three triples, two homers, 32 RBIs, and 18 stolen bases along with a .948 fielding percentage in 37 games (35 starts) in 2011.
