Trevor Lawrence's biggest fan could be ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr.
Kiper went on the record recently with the draft stock of the Clemson freshman quarterback if he were eligible for the 2019 NFL draft. "Trevor Lawrence would be the clear-cut No. 1. Trevor Lawrence is elite, he's super elite," Kiper said. "He was coming in and he is right now. Justyn Ross another true freshman really helped them out and Etienne in the backfield, that veteran offensive line, all the tremendous pieces like Tee Higgins around Lawrence. To do what he did and think 30 touchdowns and four picks. Go back four or five games, no interceptions. Go back to the money games he is at 66 percent." Kiper is in complete admiration with Lawrence's quarterback play thinking he could be graded out as one of the best ever one day. "Trevor Lawrence would be up there in that rarified air, in that stratosphere of the Andrew Lucks and John Elways and all these super-elite quarterbacks that had grades. We could say chant best grade ever for a quarterback and it may end up saying, Trevor Lawrence, because he will be in that discussion." Lawrence led the Tigers to a perfect 15-0 season in his freshman campaign as he completed 259 passes out of 397 for 3,280 yards and 30 passing touchdowns.
