"I really think and I have said numerous times that it is going to be just like 2011," Mac Lain said. "We have a bunch of freshmen and redshirt freshman that nobody knows about that is going to take this league by storm - Albert HugginsAlbert Huggins

View Full Profile, Jabril, all these guys. Rod Byers is doing incredible as a senior leader as well. We have tons of people that can step up and play. Now they are going to get a bigger opportunity than they would before. It is going to be a little trial by fire, but they are ready."
Mac Lain said that Wilkins is just a very impressive defensive lineman regardless of his age.
"Christian Wilkins probably has gotten the most work with the one's," Mac Lain said. "That kid is just amazing. The body type he has, the work drive, all the intangibles this kid has been just phenomenal. He is going to be a great asset to our team."
The senior offensive lineman was worried in the beginning that Wilkins was just a big guy playing inferior competition in high school.
"The speed and quickness he has already," Mac Lain said. "A guy coming from Connecticut. I think he came from a type boarding school or prep school. Maybe we thought he was just playing against younger guys that were not big enough to block him or stuff like that. When you get him here, and you see what he is able to do. The kid is just phenomenal."
