Latest ticket prices for National Title Game |
#1 Clemson vs. #2 Alabama will play for the National Championship in Glendale, Arizona on January 11th at 8:30 pm on ESPN.
Currently the average resale price of a ticket to the College Football National Championship is $1,122 according to our friends at seatgeek.com. As a comparison, here is how much the average resale price for the past National Championship games has ended up at: 2015 (Oregon-Ohio State): $845 2014 (Florida State-Auburn): $1,005 2013 (Notre Dame-Alabama): $1,705 2012 (Alabama-LSU): $1,739 2011 (Auburn-Oregon): $1,339 As a note, a week out this year's College Football Championship falls pretty much in line with last year's, which at this point had an average resale price $1,096. As you can see based on the above numbers, that price ended up coming down quite a bit, so if the market reacts the same way this year fans should see prices drop as the game approaches. At Seatgeek.com, they have seen prices come down since Thursday. Shortly after the two teams were decided the median listing price was $1,346, but it is currently down to $1,029. That's a 24 percent drop. They now have tickets for less than $600, whereas just a few days ago the cheapest tickets were more than $750. Of people shopping on their site over the past few days, 16 percent are coming from South Carolina, while seven percent are coming from Alabama. Of course both these teams - and especially Alabama - have large national fan bases, so fans are coming from all over. Here are the top seven states: South Carolina: 16 percent Georgia: 11 percent Texas: 8 percent California: 8 percent North Carolina: 7 percent Florida: 7 percent Alabama: 7 percent Alabama is a 7-point favorite against Clemson with a total set at 51.5. The odds in Vegas have Clemson about a 29-percent chance of winning. The total has gone over in seven of Clemson's last 10 games. Clemson is 1-3 ATS in its last four games against the Southeast. Clemson is 2-5 SU in its last seven games in January. Alabama is 5-1 ATS in its last six games. Alabama is 4-0 SU and ATS in its last four games against the Atlantic Coast. Alabama is 11-0 SU in its last 11 games after winning the previous game in a matchup. The total has gone under in five of Alabama's last seven games after an ATS win.
