to a three-year, $10 million deal according to multiple reports.

McDaniels spoke with Mark Berman of Fox 26 in Houston about getting the deal done with the Rockets.

"It's a blessing and I'm happy to be a part of the Rockets franchise," McDaniels sad. "I'm excited to see what happens. It means a lot. It just shows how much the coaches enjoy working with me, how much I enjoy working with them."

The high-flying wing finished his rookie season averaging 7.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 blocks per game. He played in only 10 out of 29 games with the Rockets (including the postseason) and logged 33 total minutes (1.13 minutes per game) since the trade from Philadelphia.

He was a first-team All-ACC selection and the ACC Defensive Player of the Year in 2013-14 while at Clemson. He led the Tigers in points (614), rebounds (255), blocks (100), steals (41) and three-pointers (42) - the only player in the country to lead his team in all five categories.
