The 2016 Heisman Trophy award was announced on Saturday evening and Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson finished second place as Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson took home the prestigious hardware.

Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma wide receiver Dede Westbrook, and Michigan defensive back Jabrill Peppers rounded out the top five.

Watson is the first finalist to improve from one season to the next since Andrew Luck in 2011. The gap between #2 and #3 is the biggest in seventy years.

15% of the votes sent in their ballots before the ACC Championship game.
