Fans "taking it as a challenge" to show up against #3 Clemson

Syracuse head coach Scott Shafer said during his weekly teleconference that Syracuse fans are "taking it as a challenge" to show up in large numbers against #3 Clemson.

The Carrier Dome's capacity is 49,262.

"A lot of people have come up to me on the street and said, 'Coach, don't worry. We'll be there. You know we'll be there,' " Shafer said Tuesday afternoon on his weekly teleconference.

"It just excites the hell out of me and the kids, and there's no doubt in my mind that our fans will show up and be the 12th man we hope they can be."
