Clemson sophomore quarterback and Heisman finalist Deshaun Watson will make his second cover of Sports Illustrated this year for this week's College Football Playoff preview.

We believe that this is a national Sports Illustrated cover as the last Watson cover was a regional cover that featured Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps nationwide.

The new issue of SI hits newsstands as early as Wednesday, 12/9.

SI.com and CBSSports.com both have Watson as their #1 Heisman candidate in their final rankings leading up to Saturday's Heisman Trophy presentation.

Deshaun Watson had another impressive performance in leading his #1 ranked team to a 45-37 victory over #10 North Carolina on Saturday night.

Watson threw for 289 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for 131 yards and two scores to set ACC Championship records for total yards and touchdowns.

For the season, Watson has 3512 passing yards with 30 passing touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also has 163 carries for 887 yards and 11 rushing touchdowns in 2015.

Watson's first SI cover one month ago:
