Darius Rucker: "I'll be real happy when that QB from Clemson graduates" |
Country music star Darius Rucker is no stranger to the Clemson-South Carolina rivalry since he formed Hootie & the Blowfish in 1986 while attending South Carolina.
The die-hard Gamecock supporter knows what a true talent Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson is as he gave him a shoutout in front of a pro-Gamecock crowd. Rucker told the crowd at Hootie Homegrown concert on Daniel Island on Saturday night, "I'm gonna be real happy when that QB from Clemson graduates. He's good." Unfortunately for Rucker, other 4-star quarterbacks potentially on Clemson's roster next year at the same time include Kelly Bryant, Zerrick Cooper, Chase Brice, and the nation's #1 2017 quarterback Hunter Johnson. Darius Rucker shoutouts the #Gamecocks and gives a little love to Deshaun Watson saying, "He good." pic.twitter.com/DY4rK3PZsx I may not be a Clemson fan but I have TONS of people who went there that I consider GREAT friends!!
