Former Clemson wide receiver and purple heart recipient Daniel Rodriguez signed with Vantaan TAFT in Finland in the European professional football league for the 2016 season.

TigerNet.com spoke with Rodriguez on Monday morning and he is excited to play football again.

"The season starts in May and it's an open contract so I can still sign with an NFL or CFL team from now until then, but if I don't sign with an NFL or CFL team then I will be going to Finland and playing in the European professional football league," Rodriguez said.

Rodriguez had 11 receptions for 39 yards and one touchdown, a five-yard carry and six punt returns for 57 yards in 188 snaps over 39 games (one start) in his collegiate career.

The following two short videos are of Rodriguez training to stay in football shape for Clemson's upcoming Pro Day.
