Construction update on Clemson Oculus
Clemson athletic director Dan Radakovich said at a Tuesday media press conference that the Oculus will begin construction after the football season. It will have a walking bridge that will connect the Oculus to the north stands.
The concourses will be closed outside of the north stand suites. Radakovich also said that the Memorial Stadium suite upgrades on the north side of the stadium should be completed prior to 2015 season as well as the aforementioned Oculus.
Here is Oculus details from the official Clemson website: Oculus that will be the signature vertical element of the Stadium. The bridge will make a direct connection from the north to the south stands, alleviating congestion on the interior WestZone concourse. The bridge will serve to provide symmetry to the exterior facade and serve as an advantageous overlook point to tailgating and Tigerwalk entrance activities.
