Clemson student wins swimsuit competition at Miss America

Clemson University student Daja Dial was the preliminary Lifestyle and Fitness winner on Tuesday night and was awarded a $1,000 scholarship.

Dial was named Miss South Carolina 2015 back at the end of the June was also a previous Clemson cheerleader and was named Miss Clemson University in 2013 and 2nd runner-up to Miss South Carolina in 2014.

Taylor Wiebers (Miss Iowa) won the talent competition with her vocal performance.

The Miss America pageant will be on national television on Sunday, Sept 13, at 9 p.m. on ABC.
