Clemson student named runner-up in Miss America 2017 |
21-year old Clemson student and former rally-cat Rachel Wyatt was named first runner-up in the 2017 Miss America pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Sunday night.
Wyatt was asked an immigration question during the interview portion of the program and also did an impressive dancing number for the talent part of the show. She also won Miss South Carolina, Miss Clemson, Miss South Carolina teen, and Miss America's Outstanding Teen back in 2012. Four of the last five Miss South Carolina winners have been Clemson students with Ali Rogers, Lanie Hudson, Daja Dial, and Rachel Wyatt.
