Clemson statement on search for Bert Henderson

A search is continuing for Clemson Associate Athletic Director of Planned Giving Bert Henderson as he was reported missing from his home on East Church Road on Sunday night.

K-9 teams and Anderson County Technical Rescue were called to assist at the scene.

Henderson is the associate athletic director of planned giving at Clemson University. He joined Clemson as an athletic trainer in 1978.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call their local law enforcement agency at 911.

Clemson University released a statement on Monday morning on an update on the 60-year-old Henderson.

Bert Henderson did not come to work on Monday morning, and after trying unsuccessful to reach him by phone, members of the IPTAY staff contacted a family friend. When they could not locate Bert, law enforcement officials were notified. At this time we have no further update, and will pass any new information along as it is received.

We ask anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to contact their local law enforcement agency.

Update 9am ET: Fox Carolina said they are expecting a briefing from Anderson CO today.

Update 10:30am ET: Search is continuing according to the Sheriff's office.
