Clemson ranked in Top 5 of ESPN's Future Power Rankings |
ESPN has released their latest article with their
College Football Future Power Rankings which measures how well each team is set up for sustained success for the next three seasons.
The main factors to determine the rankings were coaching (27%), current talent (27%), recruiting (20%), title patch (16%), and program foundation (10%). The Clemson Tigers were ranked #4th overall in the rankings, #8th in coaching, #4th in current talent, #5th in recruiting, title patch #1st(T), and foundation #4th(T). "They've done an unbelievable job," Luginbill said on Clemson's recruiting. "They've cast a wide net, and they haven't missed on those guys. They'll beat SEC teams [in recruiting]. They're viewed by recruits as an SEC team, which they basically are." The Top 25 teams in the rankings were Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State, Clemson, Michigan, LSU, Stanford, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Florida, Georgia, USC, Tennessee, TCU, UCLA, Texas, Auburn, Miami, Ole Miss, Washington, Oregon, Louisville, Oklahoma State, and Nebraska.
