Clemson (12-0, 8-0) remained No. 1 in the nation in the
latest AP Poll with 1511 points and 53 out of 61 first-place votes on Sunday after a 37-32 road victory over South Carolina on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers lost seven points and two first-place votes from last week's poll after completing a perfect regular season. The win was Clemson's 50th all-time victory at South Carolina over their rival and the Tigers lead the series 67-42-4 overall. This is just the second time the Clemson football program is 12-0 in a season (1981, 2015) and the Tigers have won 15 in a row which is the longest active streak in the nation. Clemson and Iowa are the only two undefeated teams left in the nation.
The Tigers were already ranked #1 in the latest Coaches Poll on Sunday afternoon.
