Clemson opens as double-digit favorite over FSU |
Clemson has opened as a 12-point favorite over Florida St. in Saturday's 3:30 p.m. matchup in Death Valley.
Third-ranked Clemson (8-0 overall, 5-0 ACC) faces off against the Seminoles (7-1, 4-1) with the ACC Atlantic Division title and a berth in the ACC Championship Game on the line. The Seminoles have a question mark at quarterback - Everett Golson started the season's first seven games but missed last Saturday's 45-21 win over Syracuse. Backup Sean Maguire - who started and beat Clemson last season in Tallahassee - threw for 348 yards and three touchdowns, and he finished with an 84.1 QBR. The Seminoles were also without dynamic running back Dalvin Cook and two offensive line starters. Florida St. has won the last three games in the series, including a 51-14 win in Death Valley two years ago. Other opening lines this weekend include Alabama as a 5.5 point favorite against LSU, TCU as a 4 point favorite over Oklahoma State, Tennessee as a 15 point favorite over South Carolina and North Carolina as a 8.5 point favorite over Duke.
