Clemson offensive line ranked #2 in the nation

Lindyssports.com has released its latest article that ranked the top college offensive lines in the country and Clemson was ranked #2 overall.

"Left tackle Mitch Hyatt played way beyond his years as a true freshman for a team that came a few whiskers from a 15-0 season," Lindyssports.com said. Center Jay Guillermo is rock-solid, right guard Tyrone Crowder is a returning starter and nobody in the spring was sweating bullets that the offense would go off the rails just because last year’s leader, left guard Eric Mac Lain, is no longer around. The Tigers have depth, versatility and the youth that suggests the line isn’t close to its ceiling yet.

Swinney knows that he has recruited well in the offensive line and the fruits of his labor are currently being shown with the "big uglies" up front.

“Not a lot of baloney going on with those guys,” Swinney said recently to reporters. “They want to be a special group. They understand that they have a great quarterback back there, a bunch of great backs and a bunch of Frisbee-catching dogs on the outside that they’ve got a chance to run (and) chase them chains. If they do their job (their teammates do the rest), and man, they take pride in that.”

The full Top 10 list of offensive lines included USC, Clemson, LSU, Pitt, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Utah, and Ohio State.
