Clemson/S.C. State sellout a first

by -

The Clemson vs. SC State game for Saturday is a sellout.

It is the first pregame sellout for a Clemson game against an FCS opponent. Last year’s Clemson vs. Furman game on September 15 ended up being a sellout due to a large walk-up on game day. The final attendance for that game was a sellout crowd of 83,574. That is the only sellout for a Clemson game against an FCS Opponent.

There have been four games against FCS opponents that have attracted a crowd of at least 80,000, 1988 vs. Furman, 1989 vs. Furman, 2007 vs. Furman and 2012 vs. Furman.
