Clemson DE suffers head injury

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney spoke to the media following Thursday's practice and shared that defensive end Clelin Ferrell suffered a concussion earlier in the week at practice.

Swinney said that Ferrell will go through the standard concussion protocol and has not yet been cleared by the training staff.

"He got a little shaken up the other day, so we put him right into the protocol," Swinney said. "Our trainers do a good job with that stuff."

In 2017, Ferrell had 44 tackles including 12.5 for loss and six sacks.
