Blossomgame earns prestigious Nike Academy invite

by -

CLEMSON, S.C. — Senior forward Jaron Blossomgame earned an invitation to a prestigious summer basketball camp. The first-team All-ACC standout, who withdrew from NBA Draft consideration in May, will participate in the Nike Basketball Academy from July 24-28 in Los Angeles, Calif.

Blossomgame was one of five players named to the All-ACC First Team in 2016, earning the honor from both the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association and the coaches. He was also the recipient of the ACC’s Most Improved Player Award, after increasing his scoring output to 18.7 points per game.

Blossomgame declared early for the NBA Draft and worked out for seven different teams, while also attending the Combine in Chicago in May. He withdrew on May 25, the deadline for underclassmen who previously declared. Blossomgame is listed as a first-round projection for the 2017 draft by several Web sites.
