Avenue of Champions closed due to Ongoing Work

CLEMSON, S.C. — Due to ongoing upgrades toward the Clemson football fan experience, the Avenue of Champions is closed to traffic through May 25. Telnet, a subcontractor of Verizon, will be servicing the distributed antenna system in Memorial Stadium.

Last summer, Verizon partnered with Clemson Computing and Information Technology (CCIT) in the second phase of a $10 million upgrade to the system, focusing on the drums along the top of the upper deck. The project’s main emphasis is to enhance coverage capabilities around the athletic district.

During the Avenue of Champions closure, Parking Lot C-7 will be accessible. Pedestrians can use this lot or the upper intramural field as a passageway to Centennial Boulevard.
