GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference and ESPN2 will open the league’s 63rd conference basketball schedule on Wednesday, Dec. 30, with “ACC Tip-Off” – a doubleheader featuring four teams with long standing rivalries.
Traditional conference foes Clemson and North Carolina will open the night at 7 p.m., when the preseason No. 2 ranked Tar Heels host the Tigers in the 150th meeting of a series that began in 1926.
The 9 p.m. nightcap features the Syracuse Orangemen travelling to Pittsburgh to take on the Panthers in the 107th renewal of a rivalry that dates back to 1914.
Both games will be telecast on ESPN2.
The telecasts will also be available through WatchESPN, accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, and streamed on televisions through Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 or Xbox One to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.
