CLEMSON, SC - The 2013-14 Women’s Basketball Schedule was released on Wednesday by the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Lady Tigers will play 16 conference games and a 14-game non-conference slate highlighted by a trip to Las Vegas, NV for the Duel in the Desert.

Head Coach Audra Smith begins her first season as Clemson’s leader with a strong slate that features 10 NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago.

“I am very excited to get to work preparing for this tremendous schedule,” said Smith. “The ACC has become one of the premier conferences in the nation for women’s basketball, and this season will be no different. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase our program against some of the finest in the nation.”

Clemson will play two home conference games on RSN affiliates on Jan. 20 against Wake Forest and Feb. 13 against NC State. Clemson game with Miami on Jan. 26 will appear on ESPN3 as well. Clemson’s full webcast schedule will be released at a later date.

The season unofficially kicks off on Friday, Oct. 18 at 8:00 pm with Rock the ‘John, which is a great night of promotional activity and basketball, revolving around the men’s and women’s programs.

The season officially starts on Nov. 8 against Davidson in Littlejohn Coliseum. In fact, Clemson starts the season with four straight home games, which also includes dates with Wofford on Nov. 10, Cal State Northridge on Nov. 17, and a midweek contest against South Carolina.

The Lady Tigers will then travel to Las Vegas for the Basketball Travelers Duel in the Desert from Dec. 19-21, which takes place at the Cox Pavilion of the University of Nevada Las Vegas. There, Clemson will play UNLV, Creighton, and Oregon State on consecutive days before a short holiday break.

Non-conference play closes with a home game against Middle Tennessee and a road game at New Jersey Institute of Technology on Jan. 2.

Clemson opens its conference season at Notre Dame on Jan. 5 before playing Georgia Tech and Pitt at home. January also features a trip to Chapel Hill, where Clemson defeated UNC 52-47 in the 2011-12 season. January also features a home game with Wake Forest, a road game to Syracuse, a home game with Miami, and a road game at Georgia Tech.
