, who was at the game on the Clemson sidelines tonight. It is the first time Clemson has won consecutive trips to Boston over the Eagles since 1950 and 1952 when the Tigers won both games at Braves Field.

*Dabo Swinney is now 6-1 against Boston College. Swinney’s first win was over the Eagles in 2008 at Chestnut Hill when he was the interim head coach. The Tigers won that contest 27-21.

*There were no turnovers by either team tonight. It is the first time Clemson has played in a game in which neither team committed a turnover since the 2010 season when North Carolina beat Clemson 21-16 in Chapel Hill. It is the second time in the last three games Clemson has not committed a turnover. Clemson has not lost a fumble over its last four games, all victories. The last Clemson lost fumble was in the final minutes of the fourth period at Florida State.

*Clemson’s defense had 14 tackles for loss this evening for 44 negative yards. That is the most tackles for loss in a game this year. Thirteen different Clemson players were involved in the tackles for loss this evening. The Tigers had five sacks against a team that attempted just 20 passes.

*Clemson’s defense held Boston College to a three and out on its first possession this evening. It marked the seventh straight game the Clemson defense has started with a three and out this year.

*Clemson’s senior class now has 37 wins and just 10 losses over their four years. That includes an 8-1 record in games decided by seven points or less. The 37 wins are now tied for fifth most in Clemson history. The seniors of 1984 and 1981 also had 37. In fact this current class now has a 37-10 record, the same record the 1981 senior class had. That class won the national championship its senior year.

*Clemson’s defense held Boston College quarterback Tyler Murphy to 55 net yards rushing, his season low.

*Clemson has now recorded 23 consecutive wins over unranked teams dating to 2011. All have been by at least four points. That is the longest active streak of its kind in the nation.

*Clemson’s defense has allowed the opposition to convert on third down just 3-31 times over the last two games.

*Boston College entered the game averaging 316 yards a game on the ground and finished with 120 this evening, also a season low.

*Clemson gave up 328 yards rushing in the opener against Georgia and has now allowed just 395 yards on the ground in the last six games combined.

*Clemson has allowed just 30 points over the last three games, a 41-0 win over NC State, a 23-17 win over Louisville and tonight’s 17-13 victory.

won the Leather Helmet Award as the MVP of tonight’s game. He is the sixth Clemson player to win the award in its seven year history. He is just the second quarterback to do it. Tajh Boyd won it in 2012 in Clemson’s win at Boston College.

*Stoudt completed 29-45 passes for 285 yards. It was a career high in completions and attempts for Stoudt, who had never completed more than 22 passes in a game previously. His 285 yards were second best in his career, but most against an FBS school. He had 302 yards passing against South Carolina State earlier this year.

tied the Clemson freshman single game receiving record for the second time in as many weeks. He had 10 catches for 72 yards this evening. He had 10-66 last week. The only other freshman in Clemson history to record 10 receptions in a game is Sammy Watkins, who did it once in 2011. The sophomore now has 50 receptions for 987 yards and should go over the 1000-yard mark next week against Syracuse.
