said after Thursday's practice that he has not heard of anyone on the Clemson football team that would be ineligible for the Russell Athletic Bowl.

Swinney bragged on several football players including Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson who made a 4.0 GPA, wide receiver Artavis Scott had a 3.60 GPA and running back Wayne Gallman had a 3.20 GPA.

Swinney also wanted to highlight the Clemson football players that graduated today. "What they've done off the field is as impressive as what they've done on the field."

He also said that defensive tackle Scott Pagano "showed out today" with the scrimmage with the young guys.

“This was a day for some of the younger guys to step up,” said Swinney, who will coach in his seventh bowl game at the helm of the Tiger program. “Grady Jarrett was graduating, so Scott Pagano stepped up and had a great day. Performances like that allow me to sleep better at night.”

Also, tight end Jordan Leggett got banged up the other day and has been held out of practice the last few days.
